BOOK COVER FOR LE PETIT PRINCE
BOOK COVER FOR LE PETIT PRINCE
Visual design for book cover and AR technique applying
The front book cover design of The Little Prince is around some significant person or things that little prince met in his life, as he describes in this book. These elements include rose, fox, trees, plants, paper plane and so on. On the back of the book is a well-known story from the Little Prince, in which the pilot drew a picture for the little prince. The innocent little prince recognized it as a snake that had eaten an elephant at first glance, but the adults thought it was just a boring hat. This demonstrates the child’s limitless imagination. This design uses metaphor. In this book, the rose represents love, the fox represents friendship, and the paper plane represents freedom and innocence. It is consistent with the book’s central theme of love and innocence.

Justification of the AR solution
This AR didn’t want the spoilers to reveal any important stories to my audience, so it chose to show the beginning of the story. It is hoped that AR will pique readers’ interest in reading the book, whereas people are typically more interested in negative information. So it finally showed a “plane crash” and asked, “What happened next?” Allow the reader to imagine and think.
By tapping on the screen, you can see an animation of flames and smoke rising from the aircraft’s head. At first, it only displays a normal plane. It transforms into a crashed plane after the audience interacts with it. The audience is then shown the question.
